It all started with a few beers around a campfire and grew into something special. Millbrook has conducted limited guided fishing in this region for over 8 years. So we finally thought it was time to ditch the tents and build a shack. But as you can see, some things just get away from you: the 'shack' has somehow become a 2 story log cabin, complete with solar powered lighting and hot showers! 'Fantastic', 'Unbelievable', 'Outstanding' - those are just a few of the superlatives used by guests that have stayed at the Lodge. Our trips have always been based on four people over four days. The only criteria for potential guests is that they spend a day or two at Millbrook some time beforehand. We do this both to assess and develop skills (the fishing isn't really suited to complete beginners); and to get a feel for individual personalities, so we can match up a like-minded group of four.
Glides and Bubbles
The Swampy Plains river offers a diverse and unique fishery with long glides and bubble lines in some sections , when day light and evening hatches occur these are the places to be.
