The Guides
Philip Weigall

Philip Weigall has been flyfishing for over 40 years and guiding for 25 of those. He’s the editor of FlyStream magazine www.flystream.com and he’s written nine flyfishing books. Philip is passionate about helping anglers of any level to become better flyfishers. His only flaw is a hatred of weak tippet that borders on obsessive.
Craig Coltman

Craig Coltman is a passionate fly fisher and is the current Commonwealth Fly Casting Champion. As a youngster, he was regularly pulled out of his grandparent’s fish pond, the beginning of his life time fascination for fish and their environment.
Five decades later, Craig holds the distinction of representing Australia at more World, Commonwealth and Oceania Fly Fishing Championships than any other angler. He is the current Captain of the Australian Team, which will compete at the World Fly Fishing Championships in Slovakia 2017.
Craig has fly fished around the world and brings his extensive world and competition experience to his guiding. He appears on talkback radio as a guest speaker, blogs, has a fly tying column for Fly Stream Magazine, and writes for national publications.

Jim Jackman

Ever cheerful and endlessly patient, Jim Jackman has been a valued member of the Millbrook team for several years now. Jim is the archetypical flyfishing tragic – when he’s not guiding at Millbrook, he’s out flyfishing somewhere! This constant travel to flyfishing locations ensures Jim is always coming up with new ideas, techniques and location advice that he’s only too happy to share with our guests.
Scott Xanthoulakis

Scott Xanthoulakis learned his craft from some of Australia’s finest fly fishers, fly tiers, guides and writers. The rivers and streams of the North-East and Snowy Mountains and the lakes of Victoria’s Goldfield and Volcanic regions played backdrop to what many called a “misspent youth”. We’re still not sure about that!
Scott’s fly fishing passion turned to an obsession, with him regularly venturing to exotic locations like New Zealand, Tasmania and many Pacific Islands, including exploratory trips to ‘off-the-grid’ islands.
Nowadays, Scott gains his greatest fulfillment from teaching others the finest details of fly fishing and seeing the enjoyment that it brings them. Scott’s creativeness and ability to ‘think outside the circle’ provides Millbrook clients with more opportunities to land a Millbrook monster!

Mark Weigall

Mark Weigall founded Millbrook almost 20 years ago. He’s been
flyfishing for as long as he can remember and remains mad keen to this day.
Although his brother Philip is loath to admit it, Mark is a gifted flyfisher
with vast experience in catching everything from trout to tuna (just don’t
mention permit!)
Jon Clewlow

Jon Clewlow first started flyfishing in the womb. His failure to catch anything only spurred him on and by the age of 3, Jon was representing Australia in the Junior World Fly Fishing Championships. Variously described by his peers as flamboyant, neat, fastidiously clean and just a little testy, Jon is perhaps best known in flyfishing circles as the only person who wears a red fly vest (and oh alright, as a columnist for FlyLife magazine.)
